FRITH F/S, 2 yrs. "Frith" is a word from middle English, which means "peace" and "security." Our beautiful Frith would like nothing better than to find a forever home full of peace and security! Frith's idea of peace is an indoor-only, adults-only home, where she can be the independent and playful girl ASAP volunteers have come to love, especially one where she can be secure from other cats who might disrupt her serenity. BIG RED M/N, 9 yrs.

I'd like you to meet my good buddies, Bear and Big Red. Bear is a big sweetie -- he loves attention and sitting on laps. Big Red is friendly, affectionate and mellow. Both of these handsome fellas are good with kids. And they're also FIV+. That means they've tested positive for the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. Most FIV+ cats live long, healthy, and relatively normal lives with no symptoms at all. Because they could be contagious to other cats, they need to live indoors and be the only cat in the house or live with another FIV+ cat. They're NOT contagious to people or other types of pets. The good folks at ASAP are looking for loving homes for my pals, and would be thrilled to hear from people who are interested in adopting the FIV+ cats that come to ASAP from time to time. With proper care and a high-quality diet, FIV+ cats can live full lives. If you or someone you know can help out Bear, Big Red or other cats like them, please contact ASAP. CAN YOU HELP?
Some of the cats that come to ASAP are not really suited to be house pets, but they still need homes. We are looking for ranch and nursery-type homes where these cats will be provided food and medical care, as well as a safe indoor shelter where they will spend their nights. If you are able to provide such a situation for a cat-in-need, or know someone who can, please contact ASAP.
