Social Distancing is Better with a Cat! We are open for Remote Adoptions!
As our community confronts a serious public health threat, we also recognize the psychological and emotional impact of living responsibly during the rising COVID-19 pandemic. ASAP offers a solution that may help many who are staying home: adopting a cat. To ensure the health and safety of our community, we have moved our Adoption Application process online and we are doing all of our cat matching and counseling by phone.
Not only does feline companionship reduce stress and provide comfort during difficult times, but our shelter cats need your help! Adopting or fostering a cat is a way of supporting our community during the COVID-19 crisis.
While our shelter is closed to the public, we are still here to help! Please call (805) 683-3368 or email

What can you do to help shelter cats during the COVID-19 emergency?
• ADOPT!
• Consider temporarily fostering a cat! Short-term fostering ensures that cats will spend time in a cozy, loving home while waiting for their forever family as our shelter remains closed to the public.
• Donate! The needs of the cats don’t stop with COVID-19, and we need your support to provide food, shelter and veterinary services.
Shelter Hours Our shelter is currently closed to the public.
